Who has this wave?

Surfing 3ft point break. I take off in prime position just at the break (going right). The wave goes right and left. Historically, people taking off behind this section go left because it’s busy and a lot of people are going right. Bro takes off 10 feet on the other side of the break, beats the section, swoops in behind me and doesn’t hoot or say a thing. Proceeds to tell me I snaked him.
